Ten Commandment Hike

What is it? The 10 Commandment Hike is a 5 mile walk that will stop at 2-3  different Houses of Worship .  At each stop a talk will be given on some of the 10 Commandments.  This is a 4-hour HIKE!  The hike is shortened with less stops this year instead to meet COVID-19 Guidelines

Purpose?  To Examine GOD’s Laws.

When? Saturday,  October 17, 2020. Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m. All must register at the check-in station.  We will start at 9 am and finish around 12:00 pm (Noon) due to the time involved at each stop.

Where?    HIKE MAP

Cost? Early Bird price only $5.00 per hiker until October 13th at 11:55 PM, (siblings and adults invited). 5 years old and under are FREE.

Refunds:    There are no refunds for this event

Preparation? Wear appropriate shoes and clothes (Class A), carry water bottle to stay hydrated, wear sun block and/or hat.  Practice Leave no Trace and the Buddy System. Each Unit will be required to supply 2 Adult Leaders, and their own support vehicle.

What to Bring? Water is a must! Please note: Units will have support vehicles along the way.    Pack a lunch so that your group  can eat together at the end of the hike.

Weather? This is a “rain or shine” event.

Supervision? A parent or guardian must accompany and be responsible for each Cub Scout and other family members for the entire event. Adult hikers must register and pay.
