Jamboree On The Air – Jamboree On The Internet (JOTA-JOTI®) is an event that enables Scouts  from all over the world to meet, even though they might not be in the same geographical location. JOTA-JOTI uses Amateur Radio and the Internet. It is the largest Scouting event in the world with over 2 million youth participating. The first JOTA took place in 1958 and the first JOTI in 1997.

Although Scouts and Cub Scouts may work on some Rank Advancement type requirements- this event is NOT for Advancement- it is presented as a FUN EXPERIENCE. Any Rank Requirements or Electives should be documented by Scouts Parents or Scout Leaders and recorded for their Unit. The JOTA Staff are not signing off any work

There is a separate Radio Merit Badge Day on this same date as well- with limited space for Scouts BSA Scouts – that will work on Advancement. A Radio Merit Badge Counselor will sign off on your completed requirements.
