FB Pinewood Derby

Welcome to the 2019 Fireball Pinewood Derby!

The Pinewood derby is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting.  Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families and Pack.  Then, they race the cars in competition.  The cars are powered by gravity and run down a track.

Every Scout can design and build their own car to enter in the race.

At Fireball 5 we run 2 – 4 lane tracks and each contestant will run a minimum of 4 Heats or Races.

Each car must pass inspection by the official inspection committee before it may compete.  This inspection takes place at the weigh-in date and once is done your car will be sequestered.  Make sure you tune your car before turning in.

This is done to make sure no one takes the car and makes changes after inspection; it is the only way to assure the race is fair.

$10.00 for each racer. Refunds not available for no-show – District Only Event  – ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY

Medals for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd place winners of each division / OVERALL TROPHY FOR 1^ST 2^ND AND 3^RD FOR CUB SCOUTS ONLY

Besides your Pinewood Derby car, bring sportsmanship, enthusiasm, willingness to have a good time and the Cub Scout Spirit!

Please wear your Cub Scout Uniform (Class A)

Families and siblings are welcome, but all children must be supervised by an Adult, and childcare is not provided. District Only  Event
