EPA Award Weekend

EPA Award Weekend- Earn your EPA 50th Anniversary Award & Patch plus 4 merit badges

When: October 30-31, 2021

Program will run Saturday 8AM-8PM and  Sunday 8AM- 11 AM. 

This is a Day Event both days and it is not a Camping Event.

Class A & B Medical Form is required to participate.   All Covid protocols will be followed onsite including masks.

Where: Camp Elmore (Broward) 3551 SW 142 Avenue, Davie, FL 33330

Supervision:  Event Staff will supervise Scouts registered in the program. Volunteer Adult assistance is welcomed.

Cost:   Space is limited, registration will close when capacity of  Scouts is reached.

$ 50 Youth Registration– Early Bird by 10/08/2021.

$70 Youth Registration -On Time by 10/22/ 2021, or earlier if full.

$ 20- Adult Registration- covers food only- Adults do not earn the award

Activities:   Scouts may participate in the following Scouts BSA Merit Badges:

Fishing, Mammal Study, Weather, Public Health –after all requirements are met you will also receive the EPA Award & Patch.

No Walk Ins permitted- No non registered Adults or Scouts are permitted onsite due to space constraints.

No Siblings are permitted at this Scouts BSA ONLY event. They may look forward to attending when they are older and become Scouts. Cub Scouts not permitted and Cub Scouts may not earn Merit badges.

 

Food?   1 lunch and 1 dinner on Saturday are included with the event registration. And additional snacks or meals are the individuals or units responsibility.

Adult Leadership will NOT be required- Scouts may be dropped off at 8AM and picked up at 8PM on Saturday, and dropped off 8AM and picked up at 11 AM on Sunday

Weather? This is a “rain or shine” event.

Weekend or One Night Camping is available as a Unit separately at Camp Elmore if desired. Camping is NOT  included with this program.   Units must reserve any Unit Camping separately at least a week in advance of arrival with

One Night Camping is $ 6 per person,  Weekend Camping is $ 10 per person. Units only- not individuals

Camping Request Form 2021-2022 Camping Request-Fillable

For all Scouts BSA Unit Camping 2 currently registered adult leaders over 21 years old must attend. All Guidelines to Safe Scouting, Adult Leader Training and Youth Protection Guidelines must be followed. Entire Units may camp and any non EPA Event Participants may plan other Unit activities while at camp.

The EPA Award Program includes lunch and dinner on Saturday for the registered Scouts or Adults. No other meals, camping or cooking equipment are included.
