Buccaneer District-  Scout First Overnighter

 

What is it? The  Scout First Overnighter is an opportunity for Cub Scouts and their families to start the Cub Scout year off with a fun outdoor event. This Cub First Overnighter will feature games and activities designed for our new Cub Scouts all day Saturday and overnight camping if desired.  Its also a great chance for Scouts BSA Troops /Venture Crews to campout overnight together 

When? Saturday October 9th -Sunday, October 10th beginning at 9:00 AM Saturday, and concluding by Noon Sunday

 

NO MEALS ARE BEING PROVIDED- Please coordinate all meals with your Unit

Gates open for Participants at 8:15 AM, all activities start at 9 AM Sharp

Registration: Available online at https://sfcbsa.org/events/cub-scout-buc-overnight/. Patch  guaranteed ONLY if registered by October 3rd, 2021 by  11 PM.

Crackerbarrel is being provided on Saturday night

Cost?

$ 20 per person Early Bird (including adults and siblings). Fee covers one night camping and patch if paid by 10/03/21.  Then $ 25 after Early Bird Closes until October 8th at Noon. Walk In is $ 30

Supervision?  A parent or guardian must accompany, and be responsible for each Cub Scout and other family members (siblings) for the entire day event, and for any overnight camping. All Scouts BSA Troops/Verture Crews must have adequate 2 deep YPT Leadership

Weather? This is a “rain or shine” event.

We are taking extra additional sanitization precautions

COVID: All Current CDC and County or State Covid procedures will be adhered to at time of event. these will be updated online one month prior and updated as needed.

No one may attend:

Who has COVID-19, or COVID-19 symptoms. Or who is feeling sick.

Who has a temperature over 100 degrees.

Who has been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms in 14 days

What to Bring? Each family is responsible for their own equipment for the Day Event or for
Camping. Suggested items to bring for camping:
✓ Tent, Sleeping bag, blankets, pillow, air mattress or pad
✓ Rain gear, Change of clothes, close-toed shoes
✓ Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, washcloth, towel
✓ Hat or cap, water bottle, flashlight, sunscreen, sunglasses, Insect repellent,
camera

A Parent-Guardian must be registered for every Cub Scout attending.

Cub Scouts may not attend without parent or adult guardian

Refunds?   Refunds are not available, but fees are transferable to another attending Scout prior to start of event, if ">Patrick Soper is notified by Friday, Oct 08, 2021,  by NOON
