Buccaneer Scouts BSA and Venturing Event

Location:  Big Munson Island–via Briton Environmental Center –23800 Overseas Hwy, Summerland Key, FL 33042

We will be leaving from Brinton Environmental Center by war canoe at 9 am on Saturday December 11th. This means that all units must be onsite with gear packed on to the vessels before then. It was brought up that this could be tough for our northern key units to make it down in a timely manner. Although the “start” of the trip is going to be on Saturday, a room has been offered on site so groups can arrive and stay that Friday. 

Online registration closes on Wednesday Dec 8th at 11PM.

The committee came up with a round robin style, team building activity “course” with different stations / challenges

Activities discussed include:

Kayaking

Orienteering / Cartography

Environmental cleanup challenge

Island-wide Scavenger Hunt 

Shelter Building 

Tents and cooking materials (chuckboxes) will be set up previous to our arrival and may be used by all units in attendance. Groups will be responsible for personal camping gear and food for all meals.
