Munson Island Camporee

1. What: This event will be an out-island weekend event at Munson Island. Scouts and Scouters will arrive at Briton Environmental Center on Friday afternoon where they will stay the night in dorm housing. Saturday morning participants will load onto a boat. They will proceed to Munson and spend the next two days camping, working on advancement, conservation projects and  challenges.
2. When and Where: The event is from December 1st opening at 6 pm, to December 3rd closing at 12 pm.  Scouts will meet at BEC, spend the night-depart to Munson and return boats and gear to Brinton.
3. Supervision: There will be unit leaders with each group in attendance,  Kevin Creighton will be in attendance to oversee the event.
4. Cost: Out island costs will start at $35
5. What to bring: Scouts should pack light enough to bring personal gear and supplies to the island by boat. The island will be stocked previously with tents, chuck boxes with stoves, pots, pans, utensils and propane.
6. Registration: Early bird registration will be active up until 11/28/23. Early bird pricing for Munson will be $35 and will close on 11/28/23.
