South Florida Council is one of 245 Scout councils in the United States. Our council annually serves more than 20,000 young people and supports more than 1,600 adult volunteers.
Our 3-county territory includes Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties in the State of Florida.
Our territory is divided into districts/divisions to deliver Scouting in geographic as well as non-geographic communities. Each district is led by a team of volunteers with the help and encouragement of at least one full-time staff member (District Executive).
The team supports the community organizations (i.e., houses of worship, service clubs, and veterans organizations) that charter Scouting groups. They also support volunteer leaders who work directly with youth members, and the unit volunteers who help administer the Pack, Troop, Crew, Ship, and Post program.
District Service Area: North Broward County - North of I-595 to Broward / Palm Beach County Line
Covers the cities of Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Margate, Tamarac, North Lauderdale, Lauderhill, Oakland Park, Sunrise, Pompano Beach, Plantation, Wilton Manors, Lighthouse Point, Coconut Creek, Parkland and Deerfield Beach
District Service Area: South Broward County - I-595 south to Dade/Broward County Line
Covers the cities of Dania Beach, Davie, Cooper City, Hallandale Beach, Hollywood, Miramar, West Park, Pembroke Pines, Southwest Ranches, West Park, and Weston.
District Service Area: North Miami-Dade County - From the County line going south to Coral Way (SW 24th Street)
Covers the cities of Doral, Miami Springs, Miami Lakes, Miami Gardens, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Aventura, Ojus, Opa Locka, North Miami Beach, Sunny Isles, North Miami, Miami Beach, El Portal, Miami, Miami Shores
District Service Area: From Coral Way (SW 24th St) south --down to the Dade/Monroe County Line
Covers the cities of Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Kendall, Miami, Pinecrest, Country Walk, The Hammocks, The Crossings, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, Perrine, Goulds, Redland, Princeton, Naranja, Leisure City, Homestead, and Florida City.
District Service Area: Monroe County
Covers the cities of Key Largo, Tavernier, Islamorada, Layton, Key Colony Beach, Marathon, Big Pine, and Key West.
District Service Area: Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties
