Reservations: To make a reservation for camping or day use and confirm availability dates for all Scouting Units –
Camping Online Reservations in the Tentaroo System OPEN each year on July 1st for the next full school year.
For Summer Camp Requests between June and August– Please e-mail to discuss your needs.
For Scout Units traveling to Sea Base looking for overnight accommodations– Please e-mail to discuss your needs.
You MUST have a Tentaroo Unit Account to reserve camping- this should be separate from your
possible Personal –Individual Tentaroo Account.

If you do not have a Tentaroo Unit Account it will prompt you to make a free account to use for all reservations with South Florida Council.
Once in the Tentaroo System– choose “Facilities“, and then “Camp Elmore”
You can online check for available dates and campsites or other program venues.
Save your log in User Name and Password for future reservations for our Events or Facilities

Camp Elmore is a 120-acre camp which provides daily, weekend, and summer programs for more than 8,000 Scouts and families annually.
Scout units have access to camping, orienteering courses, hiking trails, canoeing, COPE and Climbing programs, archery, air rifles, fishing, GaGa Ball, Volleyball, catch & release fishing and swimming just to name a few.
Camp Elmore has 11 grassy tent campsites. Each campsite is one acre and can accommodate up to 50 people. Each campsite has its own campfire ring and within a very short walk to restroom and shower facilities. The camp also has a stocked 9-acre lake, 2 program pavilions, chapel and other facilities for our Scouts enjoyment. Each of our 4 new restroom buildings have 10 individual, clean, lighted and lockable restrooms, and 6 hot showers. Water fountains on city water are available throughout camp and the waterfront.

Great Camp opportunities for BSA Registered Adult Scouters that enjoy the outdoors and some fun camaraderie with other adults while providing service at our camps

Qualifications:
1-Be a registered Scouter 21 years of age or over and YPT trained. 2-Be Communicative
3-Be willing to serve at least 2 weekends per year 4-Arrange to take a short training class
THE JOB:
1-Welcome our units into camps Elmore 2-Direct units to their campsites- be available and oversee camp while they camp
3-Open and Close Camp 4. Work with the Camp Ranger and Campmaster Chair to insure that all our visitors have a SAFE and FUN Scouting experience in camp.
At Elmore stay in an Air Conditioned Cabin with Kitchen and private bath and shower. One bedroom with 2 twin beds.

A group of dedicated Scouters whom love to provide service to our Camps to continue to plant native trees, maintain our Camp Elmore Nursery -for education for our Scouts as well as growing seeds into trees for planting. A group of fun & dedicated Scouters whom love to provide service to maintain our three Council Camps working with our Director of Support Services, the OA O-Shot-Caw Lodge. Camp Ranger(s) and Camp Managers. These are the tasks that adults with special skills enjoy – carpentry, mowing, general repairs, plumbing, electrical , masonry, painting, constructing pole barns, building picnic tables and other camp structures and amenities and these type of minor and major projects.
